Squeegee
was a rich kid, a gifted honor
student and first chair
musician. He begged his parents for clarinet lessons, but they
refused. Squeegee hit about a million tennis
balls against the garage door and became very good. He pleaded
for tennis lessons but his parents refused. At age 12
he was a skilled magician, and became the richest person in the
school's virtual town starting a video game business. His dad
smashed the game, and burned his favorite magic act props. At 14
he tested as a third and fourth year college student in reading and
writing. He was placed into a special accelerated Spanish
language program, as well as an accelerated math class. When he
asked his parents about attending college he was reminded that they did
not go to college. End of discussion.
His
parents owned the largest Bayliner boat dealer in
the
world. Year after year
he pushed a broom and washed boats at the family business.
Instead of getting promoted, his dad kept him as
permanent
boat washer, to avoid paying a full wage to someone else.
Squeegee should have become CEO of a marine empire, but his dad
chose others for business partners. His
parents divorced and Squeegee stopped attending
school. His dad's business partners robbed
the dealership blind and it went bankrupt. Squeegee worked as
head boat detailer for the competitor that bought them out.
Squeegee
took delivery jobs, worked as a pool cleaner and eventually ran his own
window washing
business. He studied music, psychology, religion and history on
his own. Later he became a home
school educator and tennis coach, and was much appreciated by his
students and their
parents for his "Super Nanny" powers with kids. He taught
the "three R's" - reading, writing - and recorder. He taught
children as young as
four years old the ladder of the music scale. Read his

Squeegee
excelled at Bible study. He attended a Bible study group in his
own home for a year and
a
half, until one family tried to grasp power over the
others. He asked them to reconsider and they left in anger.
He was ostracized,
slandered and villafied to where he could no longer attend
the meetings he loved. Squeegee has always tried to do
what
was right, even in the face
of evil.
His
entire life even to this day, his alcoholic dad continually says he is
a: "stupid kid, worthless,
good-for-nothing, hasn't got a brain in his head."
Undaunted, Squeegee persevered and
landed the ultimate
music gig
as
horn arranger and winds player for OCTAMAN.
"And
Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without
honor, except
in his
hometown and among his relatives and in his own
household.”" Mark 6:4 ESV
Sqeegee's
window washing ad
showed a bird and it said: "C-thru
glass - Bird smackin' clean -
'Cheap, cheap!'" Squeegee
says: "You gotta be
able to smile
through the pane."
Sqeegee is
a fab
tennis player and coach. A fan of Arthur Ashe, he also
plays ping pong, pickle ball - and pong!
Squeegee is the eyes of "Octaman" as the official
photographer and videographer. He shoots all the band images for
the CD and
web.
He's also driver of the
Octabus.
When he pumps the
gas pedal it
sounds like -
"Sqeegee,
sqeegee
sqeegee!"
