One opinion counts re: “The Passion”

He started out by running over people with his car. He mangled them one after another until he earned the status for a sequel.

Then he ran them over again, blasted them with guns, bombs – people were raped and mangled – and it earned “blockbuster” status – hence another sequel…

…a third film, where men enter cages together and fight each other with chain saws, and where a man with down’s syndrome is executed to the cheers of the mob…

While all this was going on, he also had another wonderful franchise that was all about him as a cop who was known as a “Lethal Weapon.”

As such, he shot people by the dozens, snapped their necks with his legs, and blew them up with rockets, etc. They made at least five of these “Lethal Weapon” movies, the lead played by our “hero” – Mr. Gibson.

Well, at this point he can write his own ticket for any project he wants, so he does one of the most violent films ever made, “Braveheart” – where men are hacked to pieces with every kind of medieval weapon imaginable. Now he’s REALLY getting big…

Well after all this, after making and showing countless gory scenes to kids of all ages all over the world, I guess Mel being a “religious” man, well it must have caused him to seek to be absolved of his sins in some way. One more movie should do it.

So now here it is, the latest flick by the same wonderful film maker, a film destined to be sandwiched between “Pan” and “Platoon” at the movie store, and between Mel’s other gory flicks along his movie career.

And so, now with such a holy subject matter, who will be so blasphemous as to suggest that Mel Gibson is not really making a movie about our Lord and Savior?

Let me be the one, please Lord. Let me be the one to say it! That’s NOT MY Lord and Savior that this movie is about. It’s about the god of this world, and that is all it is about.

Please! Does anyone sincerely think that, after Mel’s last movie about him and his family battling the UFO alien / crop circle making “Greys” after they land at his house, and after his son smashes the alien with a baseball bat to provide the movie with it’s “moral” – that things happen for a reason and not by accident – do you really think that after this and all the other films, that the Holy Spirit suddenly came upon Mel for this “Passion” project?

And now the subject turns to “The Jews”. Somehow the culprits now that the movie is out, and just for asking questions about it’s taste, timing and content. That is par for the course in this anti-Semitic world of ours. It’s ALWAYS their fault, so they have no cause to complain…

Does it MATTER that under the SAME TITLE throughout history, “The Passion” is a play that has traditionally stirred up hatred against the Jews? Not at all according to the films supporters. This is something that the Jews just have to learn to deal with!

Like the Holocaust. Deal with it! Boy, what whiners!

Darn Jews, complaining about what they don’t even know about! We need to convert them I suppose! Hey, I live in a time where those who have been the most hardened supporters of the Jewish Nation – the “Bible Student’s” now have among them those that tell me that the Jews have no role in God’s plan, and now I am even sent links to web sights where the Jewish State is said to be an affront to God and man – sent by “brethren”!!!

As for some Jews defending it and complaining about other Jews decrying it I say: There were Jews in the Warsaw ghetto who would argue and complain that there were other Jews that were going to anger their German captors by growing potatoes in the cracks of the cement. Better starve quietly rather than to anger their murderers.

THIS is the time of the worst anti-Semitism we have seen in decades. Precisely the wrong time to put out this movie.

But the supporters must love it because – why?   Because we MUST support Jesus? Then I suppose I’d best run out and buy “Last Temptation of Christ”, and “Jesus Christ Superstar”. Add to the list “Spartacus” and even “Joseph’s Technicolor Dreamcoat” starring Donny Osmand, that should really show that I support God and Jesus.

No kids, we don’t need to have a Bible Study today. Instead we’ll watch Charlton Heston in “The 10 Commandments”. After all, it got support from “the Church”~!

I hate to break it to you but I have to: The Catholic Church is the Anti-Christ. Do you really understand all that that portends? Or do we expect something from the right wing of Anti-Christ to actually be “the Truth”?

The Catholic Church altered the 10 Commandments, you will recall. They had too many graven images around to allow that particular commandment to get in the way! And the prevailing opinion in the world today as a result, is that this commandment is not important. So I know my opinion on that portion of the commandments will not be popular either.   As I said before, I don’t like to look at Catholic artwork, and all the “pictures of Jesus” – although I DID NOT say they were “Satanic” – please READ! -
I said they were “vile and horrific.” So I don’t like Mel’s pictures of Jesus any better. I don’t believe Jesus needs to look like Michaelangelo’s brother (whos likeness he painted in every depiction of “Christ”). I don’t believe that the two Mary’s stood around dressed like nuns, but I digress.

I can’t wait for the Oscars on this one. If these people win, they will be the same people who brought you films such as “Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome” and “Lethal Weapon Part 9” – where Mel loses his mind for real, and makes a movie where thankfully, he was too old to play Jesus. But we should KNOW that he wanted that role, and that he is playing that role in the press right now.

Also, PLEASE READ! I did not call Mel “Satanic” – nor did I call him an anti-Semite!    It is my opinion that this movie is a product of the god of THIS world, therefore, Satanic. In short, I don’t believe this movie is about MY Savior, not at all, not in the least. It’s about MONEY – and the god of this world. It IS truly an anti-Semitic stroke of genius by the forces of the adversary, and what better way to get people to drop all New Testament reading in favor of the convenience of DVD!

A minister turned comedian named Sam Kinison had a bit once where he remarked on the prevalence in society of the crucifix. “If Jesus came back today, would he really want to see a cross?” he asked. I think it’s time the world began to understand that Yeshua Messiah has Returned to earth – I’d like to see a film called “The Return of the King” you might say – regarding “the Lord of the Universe” – one where His Mighty Power is shown controlling earth’s affairs from the Right Hand of Power – invisible, incorruptible, and Sovereign on His Throne. That’s where Jesus really IS after all, for those of us who know.

So I started by saying that one opinion counts, and that is Christ’s opinion. That’s where I got my opinion from, so what’s up with yours? You tell me why I’m wrong. I am all ears, if you are not still speechless at this point. But hey! You give the Lord’s money to whomever you deem appropriate! Buy the extended DVD for the family at “Christmas” time. Meanwhile, I’ll go on being the overwhelming minority, and I’m sure to receive a “backlash” or two or sixty –two. It’s part of the deal when you “worship Him in spirit and in Truth.” I can’t do it any other way that I can see. I simply can’t join you in saluting this or any other film.
